Film Club: The Maltese Falcon (PG)

The Maltese Falcon (1941), directed by John Huston, is a landmark film noir and one of the greatest detective films ever made. Starring Humphrey Bogart as private detective Sam Spade, the story follows Spade’s involvement in a dangerous search for a valuable statuette. With a stellar cast, sharp dialogue, and a morally complex lead, the film is known for its dark atmosphere and intricate plot. A classic of American cinema, The Maltese Falcon set the standard for the detective genre.

ABOUT THE WELFARE FILM CLUB:
A small group of volunteers have recently come together to organise a monthly film club here at The Welfare, aiming to screen classic & well-loved vintage films at least once a month.

Annual membership is £30 per year, giving you free entry to all films included in our Film Club program.Members will also be eligible to suggest future film titles.

Members do not need to book in advance, please check in at the Box Office before the screening.
Cost to Non-Members will be £4 per film.
