Join us on Zoom for a bit of creative festive fun and create your own 3D paper star (or many stars if you’re up for the challenge!), some beautiful gifts or decorations for the home, whilst learning some craft hacks and new skills to see you through winter.
This workshop is suitable for all ages. Little fingers may need help from grown ups with basic cutting and sticking but there is plenty for everyone to do and you can get a bit technical should your art desire. You can scale up or down to create teeny tiny little stars or giant spectacles of magnificence to impress all on Zoom this year ! Not for humbugs, we look forward to making with you! Please scroll down for a list of materials needed.
Simply book your ticket (one per family) and we’ll send you a link to join us on Zoom on the day.
We know that times are tough, so we’re making the tickets for the workshop free, and if you feel able to make a donation to help us continue to provide lots of lovely events during these troubled times, we would be most grateful to you. Join us on Saturday December 5th for some festive fun.
Zoom is an easy-to-use, online video calling app that is free to download on computers, tablets and phones. We recommend that you download Zoom in advance of the workshop to familiarise yourself with it and avoid any delays on the day – why not have a practice run with friends or family if you haven’t used it before?
To take part in the workshop, please gather the following materials beforehand so that there’s no panic on the morning:
4 sheets of A4 paper/similar sized paper from a catalogue or junk mail.
Good quality glue stick
Colouring pens or crayons/pencil etc
A pair of scissors
A few paper clips or pegs, OR sellotape/double sided tape
Some cotton or string to hang your star.
The workshop will last around 1hr 15mins. Children under 8 will need assistance from an adult, most older children will be able to complete the activity with little help.
