Join Archivist Shaun Featherstone in the Lesser Hall for an exhibition of around 50 posters from the incredible Red Shoe Archive of 1700 prints cataloguing international protest posters from 1894 to 2024.
From challenging governments, regimes, injustices and inequalities, posters are defiant objects of dissent, and this exhibition reflects on the power of the poster for protest movements worldwide.
This exhibition will focus on the archive’s Miners Strike posters. Reproductions of selected posters are also for sale to raise funds for the archive.
The exhibition will run from 1pm – 7.30pm.
Free entry – Booking is not required, just turn up.
