The Miracle Club (12A)

There's just one dream for the women of Ballygar to taste freedom: to win a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes, that place of miracles that draws millions of visitors each year.

Set in 1967, the story of three generations of close friends (Kathy Bates, Maggie Smith, Agnes O'Casey) and a little benevolent interference from their local priest, a group of close friends get their ticket of a lifetime.

Old wounds are reopened along the way with the return of an old friend Chrissie (Laura Linney), forcing the women to confront their pasts even as they travel in search of a miracle. Their shared traumas can only be healed by the curative power of love and friendship.
