Welfare Youth: Illustration with Tom Wolfe
Join illustrator Tom Wolfe for a hands-on illustration workshop where you’ll explore how art can help us imagine a more positive future.
Inspired by the Solarpunk aesthetic – combining nature, sustainability and futuristic green technology – you’ll explore examples of climate-inspired artwork and discover how colour, composition and imagery can create a sense of optimism and hope.
You’ll then use creative prompt cards to come up with your own ideas for a better future, develop an inspiring slogan and design your very own vibrant climate optimism poster with guidance from Tom.
No advanced drawing skills are needed – just bring your imagination!

Time: 4.15pm-7pm
Cost: FREE. Thanks to funding from PAVO. Booking essential – limited spaces.
Age: Suitable for ages 11–18 – All abilities welcome
Materials: All materials will be provided.
Food: Food will be provided for all attendees – please let us know of any allergies.
Transport: Can be provided if required, please let us know when booking your space.
Do I have to attend both sessions? You don’t have to, but we’d love you to come along to both sessions if you can, as each session will build on the last and you’ll get the most out of the experience.
