Become a Friend of the Hall
The Welfare Ystradgynlais is run by The Ystradgynlais Miners Welfare and Community Trust Ltd, a charitable organisation supported by a small team of staff, volunteers and ‘Friends of the Hall’.
Together, we all share a passion for the community and the arts, and a dedication to keeping the hall open and accessible to all.
We are proud to be one of the few remaining independently run Welfare Halls in Wales, still operating as we were set up to do in 1934.
The Friends of the Hall is a membership group for anyone wishing to support The Welfare. Our Friends group is very important to us, both as a source of income and as a pledge of support from our audiences and visitors.
You can become a Friend of the Hall for just £5 a year.
In return, you will receive offers of discounted tickets for Live Broadcast screenings. Your contribution helps us to maintain our historic place in the community, develop our community and arts projects, and ensure we continue to offer the very best entertainment to suit all tastes!
