Dementia Friendly Screening: The Ladykillers (PG)

The Ladykillers is a UK comedy, from 1955. Five oddball criminals planning a bank robbery rent rooms on a cul-de-sac from an octogenarian widow under the pretext that they are classical musicians.

Professor Marcus (Alec Guinness) is the head of a motley band of criminals using rented rooms of the elderly woman’s boarding house as the base. When she catches wind of the robbery and threatens to go to the police the crooks reluctantly decide she must be killed. Yet none of the gang will commit to the deed and the men turn on each other with hilariously disastrous results!
Running time: 91 minutes
