Accessibility

Access:

Please inform a member of staff if you have any particular requirements and we will be happy to help!

If you would like to familiarise yourself with the building before attending an event, please contact the Box Office to arrange a guide tour.

With the exception of the Herman Committee Room, which is accessible via a flight of stairs, all of our facilities are on the ground floor and are accessible to disabled patrons. This includes a disabled toilet, wide corridors and doors able to accommodate a wheelchair.

When booking tickets, please mention that you are a wheelchair user so that we can allocate the correct seats.

Audio Assistance:

Audio induction loop (hearing loop) and audio description equipment are available for cinema screening. Please ask a member of staff if you require this facility.

Parking:

Our large car park, situated at the front of the building is available for patron parking only. We have 4 spaces available for Blue Badge holders.

Dogs:

Assistance Dogs are welcome at The Welfare, and may sit with you in the auditorium.

HYNT Scheme

The Welfare is part of the national access scheme, HYNT, that works with theatres and arts centres in Wales to ensure that there is a consistent offer available to visitors with an impairment or specific access requirement, and their Carers or Personal Assistants.

HYNT cardholders are entitled to a ‘free admittance’ ticket so that their personal assistant or carer can accompany them to any of our events.
